are working so hard on this brand new album! It's sure to be the BEST
SCAT ALBUM EVER! Right now, there are horn parts being written, and lyrics
being tweeked... but something that has really got us scratching our heads
is perhaps the biggest decision of them all: What to call the Album??

Yes, it's that time of year again! Starting to get slightly

has come to our attention that we should really let you know about a very
pressing event coming up later this month.
Im sure you'll be impressed to hear about it!
You guessed it! Scat is planning to hit the Fortitude Valley on Wednesday
25th November and fill the Press Club with hip groovy swingin
jazzy-jazz-jazz, and maybe a touch of festivity (being exactly a month
out from that very special day). The fun starts around 9pm,
and entry is FREE!
No pressure, just expressing our excitement! :-)

Yes,
once again we hit the Stump for some more mud and fun times! It was good
to see so many people with an October Christmas spirit for our combined
Silly Season show with Complements of Gus! Those guys are CRAZY! Make
sure you check out their snazzy Yuletide tunes as well as ours this December!

Well, we're somewhere between working on a new album and getting ready
for Christmas. Will keep you updated!

Beleive it or not... We have some studio time booked, and we are going in!! Some time around next week, the doors of Studio 301 Byron Bay will welcome the fresh sounds of Scat's latest album in the making! Whilst very exciting, there is also the sobering realisation of our pressing need to write the new songs before then. Im sure it will all work out well :-)

at the Jazz Club
During
the last year, some of our most memborable performances were at the Brisbane
Jazz Club at Kangaroo Point. One time we featured
an old overhead projector as a form of visual art! On Friday 27th
Feb, we'll be back there to play some of our new tunes and have
lots of fun. We love the atmosphere and the beautiful view of the river
and city, and of course we really dig hanging with the friendly people
who come. We hope you can make it for our first 2009 Jazz Club appearence!

One of our favourite Scat songs "Squee-bu-day" often turns into a ridiculous improvisation of rhyming comentary on the weather or someone's hawaiian shirt. Recently we played at a brand new Stockland housing estate called Parkwood. You can listen to the ending of 'Squee-bu-day' from that wonderful day, on our 'bootlegs' page... Check it out!
After a hectic Christmas time, we've managed to have a few days break and a fun New Years Eve party jam night. Now we're heading to Melbourne for the Uniting Church NCYC 'Converge' Conference. If you're down that way, make sure you come and check out our free performance at Federation Square 6pm on Tues 6th Jan :-)

Gardens, taking over Target Indooroopilly, cookin at Clontarf, lounging

tear up Townsville! Constantly reminding ourselves to keep it cool, and
